MAKENZIE + ERIN

Erin and Makenzie met right before Makenzie deployed to Afghanistan in 2017 through an online dating app. Some people don’t believe dating apps actually work, but these two are certainly proof it does! Erin’s first impression of Makenzie was that she was the most kind hearted person she’d ever met. Makenzie felt that Erin was the first person she’d ever met that she felt an instant connection with. “She truly understands me more than anyone else in my life does!”

Their first date was a movie night at Erin’s apartment. The two scrolled through Netflix and neither could come to a decision on what to watch, so they ended up watching a reality show that was pretty horrible! But it made the night even more memorable and funny. They ended up dating three years, and on October 18th 2018 Erin took Makenzie on a date to a winery in downtown Washington DC, and after returning home, Erin proposed in the comfort of their home with their puppy there to celebrate! “It wasn’t a big, extravagant gesture, but it was perfect for us!”

Erin and Makenzie were originally going to be married in Las Vegas on March 13, 2020
If you remember March 13th 2020, you’ll recall how the entire world shut down that week! They say the third time is a charm, and it certainly is because this was their third attempt of planning their big day. After having to reschedule and move their date twice, the two decided to have their wedding at Anheuser Busch Brewery in St.Louis MO.  “We absolutely love STL. We saw pictures of the brewery online and decided we absolutely HAD to have it there.”

On April 09, 2022 the two finally had their dream day of tying the knot amongst their family and friends.  We are so thrilled to share a look at their perfect day!  Enjoy Erin and Makenzie’s wedding!
We both wore wedding gowns! Makenzie wore her grandmother’s bracelet, and Erin wore the earrings her sister wore are her wedding. Finally getting to see each other’s dresses was the absolute best moment! “There is something so special about the way these two laugh together.  Roger and I noticed it right away.  Both Makenzie and Erin mentioned later that their laughter is one of first things that attracted them to one another.
“I was initially attracted to Makenzie’s laughter and sense of humor.” – Erin
“I finally found someone who would laugh at my terrible jokes” – Makenzie
We can’t say enough great things about Erin and Makenzie.  Both are incredibly sweet, easy going, kind, and fun but together all those qualities are just magnified. One of Erin and Makenzie’s requests was to get some photos with the arch in the background.  We had a couple obstacles with both a Cardinals and Blues home game, but it didn’t stop us from making their wishes come true.We loved that with their perfectly intimate wedding party we were able to include everyone’s significant others for some photos.Erin was a bit nervous here even though it doesn’t show in photos. This beautiful flowering tree was buzzing with pollinators.  Even though she was leery, no brides were stung in the process. 😉The goal for the day was to finally introduce our family members to one another. We have been together for almost 5 years and they hadn’t met until that day!
“We were most looking forward to the reception to finally celebrate with everyone the big day we’ve been trying to plan for 2 years! The love, music, laughter, and food were all memorable moments of our day! “At the end of the day we were both exhausted but also so happy and relieved to see everyone!  There is not a thing we would change about our day”

Makenzie is in the military, so the two will be moving around quite a bit. They are looking forward to experiencing new places together!
Makenzie and Erin – you two absolutely shine together!  We feel so grateful that you chose us to capture your day!!  We are cheering you two on always!!!
