MEGAN + ERICK WEDDING DAY

They met in July 2008 at the Monroe County Fair.  They would end up considering each other friends, but never all that close.  They didn’t reconnect until Megan became friends with Erick’s cousins and they were re-introduced in July 2015. At first they started hanging out at bars with a whole group of friends, but all of a sudden they realized they were interested in one other, and started to hang out more just the two of them. Concerts, road trips, jeepin, farming, parties, and more bars.  Until 3 years later when something big happened.

It was a weekend, so Erick asked Megan what she wanted to do that day. She responded with a typical girl answer –  “I don’t know, what do you want to do?” He then said, “Haven’t you been wanting to go on a hike? Why don’t we do that?” Megan went on high alert. Erick would NEVER would go on hikes with Megan. But rather than second guessing his motives, she took advantage of his willingness and they went on a hike up the bluff on Fults Nature Trial. Erick asked about 5 times if they were almost to the end, in which she replied each time that they weren’t even close. They finally came to the rocky cliff that overlooks all of Fults bottoms and stopped there to take in the view. Right then and there, Erick asked Megan to be his wife. Scared she might fall off the edge of the cliff, he then asked her to get back from the edge and sit down.

A year later, the two had a beautiful day to say I do.  We are so excited to share their day and how picture perfect everything was!  Enjoy Megan + Erick’s wedding day!

Megan I don’t think you know how pretty you are.  Seriously so stunning and as kind as it gets! I’m betting that’s the look that gets this gal anything she wants lol. Roger grabbed the next couple photos and they may be my favorite photos he’s ever taken. Obsessed.MARRIED!Megan – your eyes though! Erick is probably the most kind, easy going groom ever.  He never had a complaint about photos and just wanted to ensure Megan was happy all day.  It doesn’t get any better than that.Stop being so gorgeous. <3While we were at Megan’s family farm for photos we got word that the power was out at the reception, and we all needed to keep it a secret from Megan.  The hall in Hecker seats about 700 close family and friends lol, so we knew that was not going to be a great scenario on a hot day in the end of June.  We stalled, and Megan got suspicious, but when she was finally told the news she handled it in stride.  Everyone came togther to make things as good as possible.  A couple generators later, there were some light, some fans, and the band was able to se their equiptment so even though the timeline had to be moved around, everything went smoothly.  And looked beautiful!  We loved all the geometric shapes the two chose and how gorgeous the hall looked!

More about the day from the couple…

Most memorable moment of the day: For both of us, we agree that the most memorable part of our day was when the church doors opened and we got to see each other for the first time that day. Even with a room full of people our only focus was on each other. Second most memorable part of the day was the speeches that were made. They were all so very special to us, and for the bride, the Father of the Brides speech. was especially special.

If you could do it all over, would you change anything?:
We wouldn’t change a thing about our wedding day. The only thing that we wish for, was that we didn’t loose power in the reception hall so that the AC was working and it wouldn’t have been so terribly hot.
