Sarah + Josh Wedding Day

They met at Indiana State University where they were both attending college.  Sarah was at ISU’s rec center with a couple of her friends playing basketball when a group of guys came up and asked if they wanted to play a game. Josh was one of the guys in the group.  Both competitive sport lovers, they didn’t introduce themselves to each other.  They simply played a game of pick-up basketball. After the game was over (which Sarah claims her team won, while Josh still to this day claims otherwise) they continued on with everyday life.
Their paths would cross again. One of Sarah’s roommates was dating Josh’s best friend. She asked Sarah to go with her to her boyfriend’s house for a party. Initially she said no due to homework, but  once her friend got there she continued to text to come coaxing that some Josh kid needed a partner in beer pong. Finally, she gave in and made her way to their house. Sarah and Josh officially met, and immediately hit it off while bickering back and forth about our favorite sports teams.

They started dating, fell in love, and knew each other was “the one”.  Then on a trip to Huntington Beach, California – magic happened.
They landed in California and arrived at the house they were staying at, quickly walking down to the beach to check it out. Once they got back, they started getting ready for the dinner that was planned. They got ready, and decided to head to the beach early to watch the sunset. As they walked across the beach, Josh wanted to hold Sarah’s hand (side note Sarah and Josh don’t like holding hands) so she thought it was a bit strange and gave him trouble for it. Finally, she held his hand and walked towards the Pier. As they got closer to the Pier, they noticed photographers doing a photoshoot of a girl and another taking photos of the sunset.  It was a beautiful spot, so as they walked under the Pier they decided to take a couple pictures of the sunset as well. They took some selfies together, and then Josh said he wanted to take a photo of Sarah.  As she was turning around from looking at the sunset and preparing for her picture to be taken, Josh was down on one knee. She was in shock, speechless and had absolutely NO IDEA this was going to happen. She was so shocked and beyond happy that all she could do was cry happy tears. She got herself together, and without a doubt said YES!
Once he stood up, and the two kissed and hugged a photographer started to walk up. Sarah was a bit confused but was so in the moment that she ignored him. As he got closer, he started talking to Josh. She was still in awe and not completely thinking straight and couldn’t determine why this photographer was talking to Josh like he knew him. Next thing she knew, the photographer introduced himself and explained that Josh had hired him to capture their special moment. Sarah was speechless that he had all this planned and that they would be able to see and relive the moment he asked her to spend the rest of their lives together. After pulling herself together, they had a small engagement session with the photographer.  She still can’t believe to this day how perfect Josh had planned the evening. She will always remember this day as the second-best day her life, followed but the very BEST day of their lives – their wedding day!!
Which is where we come in!  On October 20th, 2018 we had the absolute pleasure of capturing Sarah and Josh’s wedding day.  This sneak peek is just the top of the iceberg of their picture perfect day.  It was perfectly fall, sun shine, golden glow of the sun, and two people deeply in love.
Enjoy a look at Sarah and Josh’s wedding day!Josh is just as kind as he is handsome.  So accommodating and gracious.  Every gal should be so fortunate! And Sarah is just as endearing.  She’s the whole package – , sweet, fun, and a knock out. MARRIED!!!Seriously Sarah – you’re stunning. And oh hey tux model. So dang adorable.Look at that – holding hands!!  For a couple who doesn’t enjoy holding hands, they sure look good doing it.Obsessed with this pic.

  • Walking down the aisle toward one another. Being able to see Josh’s reaction and Sarah walk down the aisle to me.
  • Enjoy every second of your perfect day because it goes by way too quick.
  • Ethels bar was packed, hardly anywhere to move but we had to get a picture of the bridal party on the bar. Once the photo was taken, I decided I didn’t need to put the lid on the bucket of alcohol yet and I would do it when I was standing on the ground. Instead of gracefully sliding off the bar, my heel slipped on the bar at the bottom of the bar and down I went. Luckily, I never hit the ground because my Husband and Usher, Dan, was right there to catch me. Since the bar was packed, no one saw anything (which makes it even better LOL). However, the Ethels bucket did spill but I was able to get another quick! Between no one seeing me fall and the fact I wasn’t drunk made it one of the funniest moments from our wedding day for Josh and me.

  • I honestly don’t know if there would be anything we would change. Our day was beyond perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day. We were ahead of schedule and everything went very smoothly. We were able to do everything we wanted to do. I wish we could relive the day again and again.
