BREE + NATE

Love takes many forms, and for BreeAnn and Nate, it began with a touch of “weirdness” (according to BreeAnn, at least!). They first met at a mutual friend’s house, and BreeAnn admits her initial impression of Nate was…well, unique. “Let’s just say he wasn’t exactly what I expected,” she laughs. Love, however, has a way of working its magic, and despite Nate not even remembering BreeAnn being there (oops!), a connection sparked.
Nate’s crazy work schedule meant their first few outings were casual dinners around town. But who needs fancy dates when you have a connection, right? Their official first date at Aerie’s Winery was anything but ordinary, setting the stage for a future filled with adventure. Fast Forward to a few months later when BreeAnn and Nate toured The Rustic Venues, a potential wedding venue. “We had been talking about marriage and knew they’d book up fast, so we went to just look,” BreeAnn says. The wheels started turning in Nate’s head, and the next day, armed with a ring and a case of nerves, he popped the question at home. BreeAnn admits things might have moved so quickly that they missed the whole “asking Dad” step in the excitement, but their daughter Jana broke the ice when she blurted out the news “Mommy got a ring!” as soon as Bree’s dad walked in the door the next day.
Their May 4th wedding was a celebration of love, family, …and embracing the unexpected. Life had other surprises in store for BreeAnn and Nate. Just as their wedding plans were coming together, they discovered they were expecting! This unexpected turn of events only added to the joy of their upcoming day. We are so excited to share a peek at Bree & Nate’s wedding and share their love story!

BreeAnn’s dress was chosen before she was pregnant. Bree remembers picking it out with such excitement, picturing herself walking down the aisle. Months later, when the dress finally arrived, she was nervous about how it would fit. So nervous that she couldn’t bring herself to go try it on. The thought of her mom’s beautiful gift going to waste was heartbreaking, so she avoided the try-on FOR MONTHS so she didn’t have to face reality. But when she finally went and they zipped up the dress (with a few minor alterations!), tears welled up in her eyes. It fit perfectly. I just cannot get over the side-by-side photos of this mother-daughter duo.One of the moments the couple looked most forward to was their first look.Bree hadn’t cried the entire day –  “until I did the first look with my dad. Something about those dads…”Choosing their ceremony venue was an easy decision. They had recently been baptized together at Cross Church, and the feeling of spiritual renewal there made it the perfect place to begin their new chapter as husband and wife. The ceremony was deeply personal, filled with the warmth and joy of their newfound faith. For the reception location at the Rustic Venues, the two loved that they had a perfect option nearby home that was new and beautiful. “We also loved that we could stay out there all weekend so it felt like we weren’t just 10 minutes from home.”As soon as we were done with photos in between the ceremony and reception it started to rain. We got a slight break in the storm and the sun was setting in the sky, but we couldn’t get outside fast enough to capture it. However, we still got a couple of shots with the stormy clouds in one direction and the pink hue in the other. And again, as soon as we were done it started to rain again.

We’ve had the incredible honor of capturing Bree and her family’s special moments for quite some time now – from Bree and her sister Amanda’s senior pics to her sister’s wedding day, and even her dad’s walk down the aisle! Seeing their love story unfold has been a joy, and we are ridiculously grateful they keep trusting us with their memories. (Hey Jana, just a heads up, senior photos will be here before you know it  – don’t forget us, okay?)  Bree and Nate, we are forever cheering you on as you embark on this new chapter as a family of four. May your journey be filled with laughter, love, and maybe a few sleepless nights (because babies! Keep ’em coming!). We can’t wait to see where life takes you next!
