EMMA + RYAN

Emma and Ryan met in high school. Ryan really thought Emma was annoying because she wouldn’t leave him alone which is confusing to Emma because she didn’t think she even liked Ryan. They eventually did end up liking each other and decided to go on a date. They went to the movies and watched the movie “The Martian”. Emma had a volleyball tournament that day and was late to the first date! She also refused to eat anything.  They dated for 7.5 years. Emma’s favorite thing about Ryan is how caring and considerate he is to her and everyone around him. “He never thinks twice to lend out a helping hand.”  Ryan’s favorite thing about Emma is how she keeps him in line. “She remembers everything I forgot and more, she keeps me updated on friends and family, and when I need someone, she’s always there for me no matter what.”

On July 22 Ryan brought Emma to his parents house for a “casual end of summer dinner”. Emma’s parents also went, which she thought was weird but didn’t give it too much thought. After dinner, Ryan’s mom wanted to show everyone her new outdoor stuff, and Emma wanted to stay inside since she had already seen it before. After being dragged outside, she turned around to see Ryan on one knee at sunset. Ryan’s one thing he wanted was to surprise her since they had been talking about it for a while. (“He succeeded as I would not have worn a tye dye tshirt and leggings for this special moment!”)

Emma wanted a spring wedding with a lot of flowers. They were looking for a rural venue with a modern feel, and Walnut Hall Estate did just that. “We loved the country feel with the beautiful ceremony and reception halls. It is a picture perfect venue and we couldn’t have loved it more!”

I doubt they could have known how beautiful this setting would be in the spring, but it certainly made Emma’s dream come true!  Enjoy Emma & Ryan’s wedding day!

The ring Ryan proposed with has a very special meaning. “On our 1 year Dating Anniversary, Ryan gave me a promise ring. I wore it every single day for 6.5 years until the day he proposed. He proposed with a custom ring that was the exact same as the promise ring but with a diamond in the middle.” I can’t say enough great things aboutWalnut Hall. Every little piece of it is a dream!Emma is an only child.  Being an only child myself, I couldn’t help but love how Emma’s maid of honor Taylor is like a sister to her and was sentimental about Emma’s first look with her dad. Also loved when Emma showed off her shoes. <3We don’t always include family photos in a blog post, but the closeness between these three is something special.Emma wanted spring colors so she went with blush, but added hunter green to the mix and it turned out so stunning! I always love the fact that Roger gets to see and capture moments that no one else gets to see. This was the moment Emma looked most forward to: opening the doors for Emma during the ceremony.  Emma walked down the aisle to “I Get to Love You by Ruelle”. I loved the meaning of the song and how it relates to us. I still cry when I listen to it.This was the first look for Ryan and Emma. “It was wonderful and I could not contain my tears. It was a beautiful moment.”The bubble cannon might have produced some globs of bubbles, and it might have flown around in interesting shapes.
I’m not going to say what they looked like because it’s not a word I would ever use on a wedding blog post.
But it rhymes with worm.
Let’s just call them tadpoles. We were so thankful these two along with their wedding party and family were very accommodating to change the schedule.  The sky was dark to the south, and we knew we only had a limited time outdoors. We didn’t want to end up not getting photos of the bride and groom outside due to rain so we completely altered the order we did photos.  The rearrangement was worth it because the sky got darker and ended up pouring as soon as the two were inside!Emma and Ryan’s First Dance Song was Growing Old with You by Restless Road. Emma came across this song while scrolling on Tiktok and she showed it to Ryan. “We both loved it and decided it was going to be the first dance song!”

At the end of the day the two felt both tired and very loved. “We were so grateful for our day and everyone that came to support us. We had so many friends and family there on our day and it showed us how truly loved we are.”

Their advice to other brides and groom is “Don’t sweat the little things. Emma was nervous about every little detail but didn’t even notice them during the day. Honestly have fun and spend it with the people you love most.”
