LAURA + DAVID WEDDING DAY

David and Laura met while working together at the age of 17. He had a crush on her. She thought he was cute and funny. Like any relationships at 17 start – David added Laura on Facebook, but they didn’t actually go out until sophomore year of college.
For their first date they went to the AMC movie theater in Edwardsville IL to watch a truly great first date movie – Gone Girl!  She could tell he was super nervous and noted he was chugging water bottles in the car the entire drive.  Casually, he let her know it was his birthday. She froze, looked over at him, and was like “oh my goodness I am so sorry, is there something else you’d rather be doing?” There was nowhere he would have rather been.  He knew from that very first date she was the one.
Throughout their 4 years dating they learned so much about one another.  She fell in love with how caring he is. He would do anything for the people he loves. David is simply Laura’s favorite person in the world and she loves being around him.
David loves Laura’s strong set of morals and values that keeps her grounded – no matter what difficulties come her way.  She followed him down any path that he took. No matter where he was at with his career or personal life, she had his back every step of the way. He knew throughout life he could continue to count on her to be very supportive.
On October 13th, 2018 David took Laura on a surprise evening outing to Laura’s Papa Duke’s vineyard. She arrived to a lined pathway of candles and pink rose petals that lead to a table covered in flowers and pictures of the two of them throughout the years. Right then and there, he got down on one knee after telling her how much she means to him. Her whole family (and Roger capturing it all) was there hiding out which made it even more special.
Exactly one year later the two said yes to one another once again as they promised forever in a perfect fall ceremony.  This day was so beautiful, joy-filled, and perfect.  We are so excited to share Laura and David’s wedding day with you!  Enjoy the first look at their delightful day!

I mean seriously Laura. You are perfection.Laura and David opted to not do a first look, but they did exchange letters to one another back to back prior to the ceremony.  You could feel the emotion in the room as they read one another’s words and felt one another’s presence and love. Seriously that dress though. It’s not very often that we post a family photo in a blog post, but the love these two have for their children is truly inspiring.  Love this photo too much to not include. <3I said it then, and I’ll say it again – David, you were born to be a suit model. 😉Laura and David’s wedding party were incredibly cooperative and just so easy to get creative with.  We loved the time they built into the day to ensure great photos.  Nothing was rushed or stressful – just plain fun.CUTE KIDS ALERT!I love that Laura’s mom told us she would cut anyone who got out their cell phone to take photos during the ceremony.  I guess they opted for a polite version of that sentiment for the sign as guests entered the ceremony. These two <3Laura, every girl deserves a father who looks at his daughter the way that your dad looks at you.Could the Macoupin County Courthouse be any more stunning?  Love weddings in this location!MARRIED!The moment these two were together it was as if no one else existed. Laura I die looking at this photo.  You are a super model.I just can’t with these two.  How gorgeous are they???When they got engaged a year prior to the weekend, the weather was gray, crappy, and gloomy.  I think Mother Nature must have felt like they deserved to be repaid for that on their wedding day because there isn’t a better fall day than the one they got.  That golden light and perfect fall temps were phenomenal! Now, here’s the part where I lose my mind. I have been thinking – no, dreaming about this donut wall ever since October 12th. I want a wall like this in our home. I don’t know what your heaven looks like, but mine has a donut wall like this and calories don’t matter.David built that impressive F for the reception!  It was F-ing spectacular.MORE ABOUT THE DAY FROM THE COUPLE:
