MORGAN + HUNTER

They first met at MacMurray College in Illinois. Morgan had gone to see her friend Kelsey, and at a party she met this guy on the basketball team named Hunter. Their paths did nothing more than cross at that time, until years later when they reconnected.
Hunter had just gotten back in the states from his deployment to Syria. He and Morgan had talked for several months while he was deployed, and they planned that once he was back they would go on their first date! Little did they know that that would mean Morgan booking a spur of the moment flight to Austin, TX!
They spent a long weekend together in Austin, touring the city and eating all the Mexican food they could find! Hunter and Morgan had an instant connection, and it was as though they had known each other for years. Even though they were often with a crowd of his friends, they found themselves sitting alone, on the quiet side of the bar, talking continuously and laughing for hours as if no one else existed.
Even though so often they were apart, their love grew and remained strong. In March of 2018, Hunter proposed at the place of their first “home date” where they lived and completely shocked Morgan by asking her to be his wife. She of course said YES!

A little over a year later that day came where they would promise forever. They said “I do” under the tall trees at the Anderson Mansion in Carlinville IL, and danced the night away celebrating under the stars. Enjoy a peek at Morgan and Hunter’s wedding day!!

The Anderson Mansion is SUCH a beautiful homestead. From the historical home to the beautifully preserved buildings and the property – it is a magical place to say “I do”!
Morgan you are stunning. And sweet. And everything honestly.
Hunter is as charming as they come. He’s funny, handsome, and incredibly warm and kind. These two found the perfect match in one another.
Just the sweetest first look!
After their first look, we were able to spend time with the couple getting photos on the mansion grounds – watching them laugh and flirt and just be so present in the moment. We LOVE when couples are able to experience some time together before saying I do, when the stress of the day can just melt away and they can be reminded of why they are there.
I mean how attractive are these two? Jeeze!
Right there is a Nicholas Sparks novel, amIright? That sweet moment before the kiss where there’s a little linger and anticipation… that moment is everything.
Look – more attractive people! We had a fantastic time with Morgan and Hunter’s wedding party! They were the best group!
So much swag…
and so much sweetness.
Morgan had the idea to bring in vintage church pews for their ceremony, and it was incredibly charming!
I don’t know the last time I’ve cried when a bride walked down the aisle, but as Morgan made each step down the aisle by herself – it felt like every single person was right there with her cheering her on and it got me in the feels. The energy was so encouraging and supportive, and she was never alone for a single moment.
MARRIED!!!!
On the way to the reception we were able to make a quick stop for a few more photos. Morgan and Hunter wanted some fun shots of them with their wedding party and some time to celebrate on the backroads, so we did just that! With the majority of photos out of the way prior to the ceremony, we were able to just relax and have a blast with the couple and their friends.
The reception was as sweet and inviting as the couple!
The way they laugh together says it all. These two are the real deal.

MORE ABOUT THE DAY FROM THE BRIDE AND GROOM:

The most memorable moment of your day?
The most memorable moment of the day would have to be our first look! We debated on doing a first look for a long time but I am so glad we did! It took the nervousness away and we had a special little moment with just ourselves!
Advice for future bride/grooms?
DON’T SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF!!!! I was so worried about certain details and the timeline of our wedding that now thinking back all of those details were totally out of my control. Just live in the moment– the day goes by so incredibly fast.
Funniest memory from your wedding day?
There are so many! Wardrobe malfunctions, bugs flying up my wedding dress and the flower girl dresses, my sister jumping up and down after her boyfriend caught the garter, and all of the killer dance moves on the bus ride back to the hotel after the party was over.
If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
I would’ve ordered more cookies and had more tequila! I think those two items were gone before the party had even started!! HAHA! But seriously… I wouldn’t change a thing even if I could!! Looking back on the day everything was perfect!
