“It was an amazing twist of fate” Whitney will tell you. There is no other way to explain it. It’s the kind of chance occurrences that happen only in the movies, a love story books are based on. And it goes like this – Once upon a time, just at the exact right time…
Whitney had just endured a major breakup and moved into an apartment complex on her own. Her heart was heavy, but as time went on she grew stronger and starting getting some of her spark back. She was looking for true love and wasn’t going to settle on anything less than the man of her dreams. And the man of her dreams needed to be a country boy for starters. So when she noticed a truck with a CASE IH sticker on it – she paid close attention to see the guy who owned it. And when she saw the owner she REALLY liked what she saw. Hoping for an opportunity where they would meet, Whitney’s hopes came to an end when she moved out and he moved to Iowa.
On a run in her new subdivision more than 6 months later, Whitney saw a truck that looked just like his drive past. Apparently the truck belonged to someone in her neighborhood because she would see it parked in a driveway. She thought it was odd, but figured it must be a coincidence. One day she saw someone walking their dog at the house that the truck always parked, and as she ran by their eyes met and she knew it was him. “What are the chances?” she thought. While friends were over for a BBQ soon after, Whitney recounted the story of the cute country boy and his truck ending up living in her neighborhood. While inside cleaning up, her friends decided to walk to the guy with the truck’s house and ask him to come over to surprise Whitney. And shockingly enough, he did. When Whitney saw Kurt walk into her back yard she almost died of embarrassment. But he stuck around until the wee hours of the night and talked by the fire with her. Whitney and Kurt had more in common than they could have dreamed and that night he asked her if he could see her the next day. From that moment on, they were not only neighbors, but best friends and as fate would have it – soul mates.
On a Friday night sometime later, Whitney walked into the garage and saw a bag hanging on the door. It had Hello Kitty with a veil on and said “The Future Mrs. Carpenter”. Confused, she walked into the house to 200 or more candles and a note that said “Do you remember where we first met? Come here. I love you – Kurt” So excited, she managed to walk out the front door and realizing her mistake went running into the back yard. She saw him there. On one knee. And right there where they met – Kurt asked Whitney to spend forever with him. And she of corse said “Yes”
Just at the right time, came just the right love.
