By watching Kristin, you know that when she’s away from Darren she gets butterflies just thinking about him, and he’s on her mind. Always. She smiles at the thought of him. And when he’s not there, she misses him. She cherishes the things he says. When he is away from her – the thought of her is like fireworks. And not only is she on his mind, she’s on his heart. Always. Sometimes the thought of her makes his heart skip a beat. He remembers every little thing she says, defining it. Reading between the lines. Making sure he discovers her needs and wants, so he can make her happy.
Lauren & Mark’s wedding is proof that fall weddings are truly magical. The light, the crisp air, the glow, and that cozy vibe you can only get in the fall. It just doesn’t get much better. That last weekend of October is typically the peak weekend for color, and Mother Nature straight up brought her A game. If we could bottle those temps and sunshine all year long we’d be in heaven. Or Napa CA, but I digress.
The best part of the day though was not the weather, or the sunlight, or the beautiful fall decor provided by Mother Nature. The truly amazing part was watching two people in love committing to loving and cherishing the other for the rest of their lives. It’s such a awesome thing to witness, so enjoy it with us as we tell the story of Lauren & Mark’s wedding day!!
Clare & Kyle’s wedding was one we’d looked forward to all year. We photographed Clare’s sister’s wedding in 2010, and we hoped and prayed that when Emilie’s sister’s got engaged that they would call. And thank goodness Clare did! The Schilling Family and their friends and family are amazing, and it’s no wonder that Clare found this amazing man Kyle (aka Row) to be the person she spend forever with. Both are charming, laid back, and the type of people you are instantly drawn to. The fact that they were drawn to one another is logical, but what the two of them are together is magical. They are so unmistakably best friends that it’s hard to imagine one without the other. They are truly two halves that make a whole.
She was ready to transfer schools. She’d all but made up her mind, and started looking over Christmas break. She decided to give it one final semester before she decided and with that she headed back. The first person she met when she came back from break was Tyler. There was a instant spark. An immediate connection. And after getting to know him a little better, she never thought about transferring again. In fact, she stopped coming home for the summers and so did he. Their hometowns were 10 hours away from one another, and they could barely handle spending a single day away from the other. It’s funny how finding THE person changes everything, and when both found that in one another – they were never going to let it go.
Amy’s best guy friend Caleb just happens to be Todd’s brother in law. That may seem like a random fact, but that just happens to be the one component of the story that made it all happen. Caleb insisted Amy & Todd would make a great couple, so trusting his judgement, Amy met he and Todd out one night. She flirted and he charmed her right back, even going so far as to pay the DJ 20 bucks to play her favorite dance song at the time – Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face”. When the night ended she figured she would never see Todd again. But thanks to social networking, he messaged her (he has the opposite story) and they got to know one another. When Todd came into her life in 2009, she was not looking for a relationship, but they both knew there was something special they couldn’t pass up.
