Kayla + Josh {love story}

They both attended a high school party, and they both happened to be starving. A conversation about McDonalds is what got Kayla and Josh talking, but there were plenty of other things they would soon discover they had in common.
That first encounter was the start to many more conversations about food, and life, and travel – something Kayla and Josh love experiencing together.  With their love of food, you can often find the two trying out new restaurants and ending the evening with an ice cream and curled up with a movie at home.  Their love of life shows in their mutual love for family and friends.  Whether its spending time with nieces and nephews or helping out a friend in need, these two are always there to create experiences with those they love.  But it was their love of travel that started this promise of forever.  With flight vouchers for Southwest that were going to expire, they two booked a last minute trip to one of their favorite places, Belize. There had been some discussion about getting engaged, but this trip was last minute and with Josh having to be in Mexico for work the week prior, Kayla did not expect anything more than a wonderful getaway with her love.
The first morning after arriving in Belize they planned to go to one of their favorite places for breakfast – a super cute yoga retreat right on the beach with amazing views. After breakfast they peacefully strolled down the beach hand in hand, enjoying the atmosphere of a place they both love. As they were walking Kayla walked in front of Josh to walk between some trees and out of nowhere Josh said “Kayla!” She  jumped because she thought there must be something in front of her that she was going to step on. When she turned around and said “What?!” Josh was down on one knee and asked “Will you marry me?” Kayla jumped into his arms with tears of joy.  They sat there for at least 5 minutes taking in the moment, but immediately hurried back to their condo to call their parents to tell them the good news.
The couple will return to Belize in winter of 2018 along with their family and friends to say “I do”.
