Emily & Jared {engaged}

Even though they attended different high schools, Emily and Jared were introduced at some point and eventually became great friends.  She insists they met at one of his baseball games, and he swears it was one of her field hockey games.  Either way it happened – it was meant to be because the two remained friends throughout high school and college.  They eventually went out on a date to celebrate birthdays and make up for a get together that went awry due to a miscommunication (and some stubbornness on Emily’s part).  The two still give one another trouble for the debacled event.

The two became inseparable, and some time later Jared decided it was time to spend forever with Emily.  Without her knowing, he devised a plan to get Emily and her family at the park that was built by her grandfather.  This place being very special to Emily, Jared knew it was the perfect place to propose.  Getting her mom in on the plan to get Emily there, she told Emily that there was going to be a plaque put on the park sign to commemorate her grandpa and told her when and where to meet.  The entire family was there and they stood waiting for the plaque to arrive, when Jared got down on one knee and said “the real reason we are here today is because I want to ask you a question.” and in the midst of many tears and surrounded by family, Jared asked Emily to be his wife.  After saying “yes”, Jared’s sister and brother in law emerged and had filmed the entire thing with out Emily knowing.  They spent the rest of their evening celebrating with family at a local winery.  It was the perfect day.

Emily and Jared are planning a wedding for next summer.  Please enjoy a few of their photos from their engagement session!!
