Our first engagement session of 2010. Ahhh – it felt good. It felt extra good because of the company we were in. We’d never met Emilie and Brandon. They live in the beautiful state of Texas (“The stars are bright, in the sky tonight…. deep in the heart of Texas“. So I almost sang this to them but Roger urged me not to. Rather – begged me not to.) and Emilie’s mom ended up being the one who booked us. So there is that mysterious feeling when you are about to meet someone for the first time, and within 5 minutes start to photograph them. Thanks to Emilie’s mom however – I had a great idea as to who this couple was. Because sometimes the best description of someone is through the eyes of a mother. (I will eventually tell you their amazing story – but it’s SO good that I’m saving it for their wedding post) I knew I would like these two – but I had no idea how much. Emilie is someone who when you talk to her – you feel like you’ve known her all of your life. You can see her spirit and feel her kindness by just standing next to her. And Brandon is quiet and kind and genuine, and his smile tells a story. I can’t wait to tell you their story in a few months – but for now I’ll tell you their story with their images.
Roger’s view. Clearly… Roger wins. I’m so taken with this shot that I must have it a canvas gallery wrap for my very own. Yum.
Or maybe this one too. Seriously – Rog straight up rocked it that day.
It questionable what kind of scary things lived deep in this dead tree trunk – but regardless I still find it sexy.I love me some cowboy boots. God bless Texas.
Emilie and Brandon – we cannot wait for your wedding day and are so grateful for the opportunity to tell your story. Hope y’all enjoy your pics!!
