Annie & James {married}

When I think of Annie and James I think of one word – perseverance.  The couple have strength and determination that is not only the building block for which they stand, but for the foundation of their relationship.  No obstacle has been too strenuous.  Living most of their relationship half a country apart would be difficult for most, but they found ways to make it work.  When Annie finally was able to move to New York to be with James, a couple months into their new life together Hurricane Sandy hit leaving them without their home and belongings.  Through their strong partnership they prevailed even though times were hard.  No matter what hurdle was placed in front of them, Annie and James overcame it together.  So when their wedding day was a absolute downpour, as no surprise the two took it in stride.  Through all they’ve been through along their journey, a little rain was certainly not going to defeat this day!!  WHat an amazing example to others that with a strong foundation of determination and love, nothing else matters.

Enjoy Annie & James wedding day!!I don’t believe I’ve ever cried so hard at a wedding as I did this day.  Annie’s parents are just plain amazing.  As Annie’s mom read her what she’d written in her card with a quiver in her voice and tears running down her face, I tried as hard as I could to not start crying out loud.  It was by far one of both Roger and my favorite moment at a wedding.  So loving and true.IN LOVE with this image.Annie, you are seriously so beautiful.  Inside and out!!And James – even though you are so tall I mainly look up your nostrils I’m not mad atcha.  😉  The way you look at Annie (who is tall enough to not look up your nostrils and can look you in the eyes) is magical.  Oh, just the best reaction of a groom seeing the bride for the first time EVER.I don’t think there was a moment that day when it wasn’t at least misting outside, but Annie and James never missed a beat.  Annie & Jame’s reception was at the Hyatt Regency in downtown St.Louis’s Arch View room.  Unfortunately due to the weather, there was no Arch view and everything had to be moved inside.  But the beauty, joy, and celebration filled the air and proved it doesn’t matter where you celebrate if it’s with the ones you love.

Annie & James – you have such vibrant personalities that win people over within a second of knowing you.  We admire you and your families so much, and thank you for allowing us to be a part of it all!  We know your strength and endurance will get you through any hardships life throws at you.  Nothing but happiness to you both!!
