He insisted on taking her out on a date, and after spending the entire weekend together, she knew her Prince Charming had walked into her life and swept her off her feet.
They knew they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together after only a few months, but they had things they wanted to accomplish before they took that next step. Amy was finishing up pharmacy school and didn’t even know for sure where she’d be working or living, so there were some obstacles that needed to be sorted out. Once she was settled, she figured it would be any day now that Todd would propose, but he didn’t. Todd is very vigilant when it comes to decisions. He thinks things through, considering everything over and over. So when he responded “when I am ready” when she asked when he might want to get engaged, she just assumed that was that. What she didn’t know is that he was ready, and on their 3 year anniversary he decided that was the day. When she pulled into the driveway and was walking up to the house with her arms full of bags from work, Todd managed to meet her at the end of the sidewalk. She proceeded to say “hi” and continued walking because it was cold out and she wanted to set all of her bags down. He stopped her. Very nervously, he grabbed her by the hand and said he needed to talk about something. At that moment, he dropped down on one knee and pulled a beautiful ring out of his cowboy boot and asked her to spend the rest of her life with him. Afterwards, both of their families were waiting for us in town at Slingshot’s Saloon, where they had first met 3 years before, to celebrate their engagement. It was one of the happiest nights of their lives.
Amy & Todd will make that day the second happiest day of their lives next June when they promise forever to one another surrounded by their families and friends. Enjoy Amy & Todd’s beautiful sneak peek of their engagement session!!
