Elise H. {high school senior}

“I’m really nervous” she said. We assured her it would be fine and that she’d warm up in no time. And the first pose Elise went into, she nailed. And every pose she nailed. This girl was born to be photographed!! It was a completely fulfilling session that we will never forget. Lots of laughs, lots of bees (we still laugh thinking about Roger hitting your shoe Elise!), and lots of beauty. Elise is so wonderful to be around and in one word she is vibrant. Her parents, her family, and her friends are so fortunate to have her in their lives – and we were fortunate to be chosen to photograph her senior photos! Enjoy a few of our favorites!!

Quincy K. {senior – part 1}

It’s been an intensely hot summer, and the heat postponed several sessions. One session happened to be Quincy’s, but the area county fair only comes around once a year so we had to at least go for part of the session! So we braved the heat and went out as close to sunset as we could and got some fun shots of her at the fair. We were so excited that the weather broke long enough to recently get the rest of her session in, but since she’d been waiting so long and hasn’t seen anything from that first shoot we just had to share. Don’t worry – we’ll have more to share from Quincy’s second session soon, but for now enjoy some of her adorable shots from this hot summer night!!

Whitney & Tony {married}

Whitney and Tony are amazing people. There is a million other ways to describe them, but all the words we could use would derive from amazing. So it makes us extra sad that we didn’t get to spend more time with this couple other than their wedding day. If you don’t recognize this couple from their engagement session post it’s because we were not fortunate enough to do one for them, which means we didn’t get to share their love story. But a story this good needs to be shared, so enjoy Whitney & Tony’s wedding day and the story that brought them there! …

Lindsay & Neil {married}

It’s pretty easy to see a couple’s love on their wedding day. The day is all wrapped up in love, it’s all about love. Love of a family, love of friends, love of faith, and the reason you are there – love of a couple. But on the moments in between, the moments when no one is watching, the moments that reflect love the deepest, sometimes you see it and sometimes it’s not as easily found. On Lindsay & Neil’s day the moments in between were hot. As in sweltering 107 degree temperatures outside hot. They took it in stride with smiles on their faces, but by the reception it had all caught up with Lindsay. There were guests to mingle with, cheers to be had, and much partying to do – but Lindsay sat sick in the walk in cooler of the kitchen area. And right by her side, patiently helping her was Neil. He could have mingled, cheers’d, and partied, but instead he provided comfort and strength where it was needed most. U true testament to the couples character, they got through it together, lifted one another up, and ended up enjoying the rest of the night. They still mingled, still cheers’d, still partied – and they did it all together. The theme for the summer may be “hot”, but the theme for the day… was true love. Enjoy Lindsay & Neil’s wedding day!
