Jenna & Zach {engaged}

The first time they met was in a park in Illinois.  Mutual friends introduced them and after a brief exchange of “hello”s Jenna and Zach went their separate ways.  She was in her last semester of nursing school and the only thing she wanted was to focus on graduation.  Meeting guys was NOT one of her concerns.  But as the weeks passed, she kept receiving Facebook messages from the Zach guy she met that night and despite her not wanting the distraction of a guy in her life – his persistence got the best of her and she agreed to go out on a date.  It was the Saturday of Easter weekend.  She distinctly remembers what he wore and where they went, but what she remembers most is how she couldn’t wait to see him again.  And even though she wasn’t looking for love – eventually that’s exactly what it turned into.
They had fallen in love and were moving towards creating a life together.  To just enjoy some time together and have a romantic getaway, Jenna & Zach planned a trip to Paris, France.  During the trip, one morning started with a tour of the Louvre Museum.  Zach seemed very nervous going through security, but Jenna didn’t pay much attention to it as all the commotion and crowds of people were overwhelming.  By the time they got through security the warmth of the museum and the crowds of people were getting to Jenna and she was already ready to leave.  She felt a bit crabby after the ordeal, and to cheer her up Zach mentioned “How about we go to Love Lock Bridge?” and that immediately changed her spirits.  Love Lock bridge is a seemingly average bridge, but what makes it special is the thousands of locks that have been fastened to it with wishes or sentiments to a loved one.  Tradition is that you put your “love lock” on the bridge and throw the key in the river showing your love is unbreakable and intertwined forever.
They made it to the bridge with their padlock and a marker, and sat down next to one another on a bench.  Taking turns to write a message on each side, Jenna wrote onto her side of the lock “Zach and Jenna Forever Always”.  So pleased with what she wrote, she handed it to Zach.  She was enjoying the setting and wasn’t really paying attention to what Zach wrote on his side.  When she finally looked down to see what he had wrote, she saw the words “Will You Marry Me?” She could barely believe her eyes and exclaimed “Yes, yes, yes, of corse!”  It was the perfect setting, and he’s managed to buy the most beautiful ring that fit perfectly – just like the two of them.  The moment truly sank in when they attached their lock to the bridge and threw their keys into the water and wished for everlasting happiness and love.  Jenna and Zach start that journey for both this May, and both cannot wait for a lifetime more of happy memories.
