We met Alison a couple years ago at Mallory & Ryan’s wedding. She was one of their bridesmaids and had actually recommended us for the wedding. When meeting Alison you INSTANTLY fall in love with her. She’s bubbly and gorgeous and the type of girl everyone loves to be around. The night of Mallory & Ryan’s reception I saw her sitting on a guy’s lap and thought to myself “I hope they call us when they get married.”
We kept in touch via Facebook, and would see each other occasionally at weddings – each time I eagerly hoped for an eta on an engagement. “Hopefully soon” she would say, and I always made her promise that she would contact us immediately. So when I saw a message in our inbox this summer from Alison, I immediately knew this was the one I (and she) had been waiting for!!
Not wanting to wait any longer to marry the man of her dreams than she had to, Alison and Andy planned a New Years Eve wedding. Even though Andy had to relocate to Iowa and Alison was hours away from family, she still found a way to pull it all together and create the wedding day of her dreams.
Enjoy Alison & Andy’s wedding day!
The fact that it snowed that day had Roger and I excited. I squealed a little.
Becky Huffman + Kate Spade = perfection. Being a New Years wedding, Alison and Andy had a evening ceremony which called for a First Glance in order to get all the photos they wanted. They had a beautiful moment just the two of them, and then we headed out to take photos of the couple and their wedding party while we still had some daylight to work with. Thanks to their choice to see one another we were able to take gorgeous photos in the day and night giving them a variety of great looks.
In other words, you should opt for a First Glance on your wedding day.
Alison – you. are. gorgeous. Stunningly gorgeous. You were the perfect bride, so up for whatever and glowing on your wedding day. I’ll go ahead and say it. From certain angles, at certain times Andy looks like Justin Timberlake. And on his wedding day, Andy did indeed bring sexy back. Yeah.It doesn’t get much better than this wedding party. Fun, nice, cooperative and gooooood looking.
awwww snap.Alison & Andy were SO up for whatever on their wedding day. Trudging through the snow, standing out in the cold, nothing was off limits. In turn we had the opportunity for wonderful winter photos! The Four Points Sheraton is such a wonderful venue for wedding receptions, but for Andy & Alison’s wedding it looked exceptional. One of our favorites from the day.We can’t ask for anything better than a bride and groom who are willing to do whatever it takes for great photos. When we see an opportunity for a great shot and the couple trusts our vision magic can happen. And magic indeed happened when we went outside for some nighttime snow shots.Alison did a fun dress change into a sparkly little party dress to ring in the New Year. It was stylish and fun – just like the bride. As the minutes left in 2012 counted down, the dance floor and the excitement increased. As the seconds went, 2013 was rang in perfectly. Happy New Year!!!!
Alison and Andy – your wedding day was perfect in every way. There is no where we would have rather been than ringing in the New Year with the two of you and your family and friends. You wanted your wedding to be a celebration, and it was perfectly that. Smiles were adorned by everyone there, the camaraderie of new friends and old, family members from near and far, and the joy and hope felt by everyone there was palpable. It was an honor to be a part of it all.
Congratulations to you both and cheers to a picture perfect future together!!! XOXO
