She’d noticed him out plenty of times. He was cute, but way too shy to approach her. When he finally got the courage one night, she was taken and had to decline when he asked for her number. But she couldn’t stop thinking about him for weeks. Eventually after that relationship had dissolved, she told a friend when getting ready to head out for an evening with friends “I hope we run into Warren tonight!”, and sure enough as they walked in – there he was. He approached her a little more easily this time, and they talked all night. A mutual friend had after hours and both decided to go. They talked the night away and at one point he asked her to dance. There in the middle of a garage they slow danced and he kissed her. The rest -as they say- is history.
It’s a matter of time in a relationship when you start get harassed by family and friends with the same question “When are you going to propose?” In 2011 after 3 years of dating he’d heard the question quite a bit, and he snapped back with “When the Cardinals win the World Series.” And amazingly that year, the Cardinals kept winning. With every playoff win Megan would nudge Warren reminding him that he better be ring shopping. The Cardinals ended up clinching the World Series, however Megan still hadn’t clinched a proposal.
About a month later, Warren scheduled a time for he and Megan to tour Busch Stadium. They got to see many behind the scenes areas and go out onto the field. Warren asked one of the tour guides to take their photo at home plate. While they were posing for the photo, Warren dropped down on one knee and asked her to marry him. They cried and she screamed and they excitement was overwhelming. They couldn’t have asked for a more perfect proposal!!
The couple are planning a wedding for May 2013!! Enjoy a few photos from their engagement session!!
