Swept up in the moment she asked him if he was ever going to take her on a real date. He laughed and blew it off. She couldn’t figure out if she’d read him wrong or if he just wanted to be friends. She spent the rest of the evening confused and disappointed. Low and behold after 3 long days passed (such a rule follower) he called and asked her out.
Eventually they talked marriage, and even went to look at rings. On May 7th, Neil and Lindsay were on their way to a Cardinal game when Neil mentioned he needed to go to the Villa Marie winery to pick up a bottle of wine for his mom for Mother’s Day. She insisted that if they were going to her favorite winery, that she MUST have a glass of wine. They both ordered a glass and headed outside to walk by the pond.. They sat down at a picnic table and talked about the weather. Neil pointed at a house and while she was distracted said “I’ve been meaning to ask you something” and as she turned back to him she saw a ring box in his hand. He didn’t even get the words out and she screamed yes!!! The ring ended up being the exact one she adored while shopping for rings, and he did end up getting the words “will you marry me?” out. They called family and surprised their friends at the Cardinal game with the engagement story. That night they celebrated with cake and champagne surrounded with family and friends.
The celebration with cake, champagne, family and friends continues next July when Neil and Lindsay say “I do.”
Lindsay & Neil were blessed with a beautiful afternoon for their engagement session, at the beautiful location where Neil popped the question: Villa Marie Winery. Enjoy a few of our favorite photos from their amazing session!
