ELISE + TRENT

Elise and Trent met in July 2016 when they both went out for night on the town with a mutual friend in Saint Louis. The two went to the same high school (one grade apart) but had never spoken before that night.

They were polar opposites.  He thought she was wild.  She could drink him under the table, but could defintely be a fun addition to his friend group. She thought he was quiet, but could also handle her strong , opinionated personality.  They were immediately attracted to how different they were from one another.
Their first date was to a STL Blues Hockey game. Trent is often quiet and reserved, but took her off guard when he did the Power Play dance in front of her.  But Elise has an outgoing personality instantly had a way of getting him out of his shell when he wants to be introverted.
The two dated for 2 years when in June 2019 Trent arranged a scavenger hunt to many of Elise’s favorite places around Saint Louis. First: Mollys in Soulard (one of their favorite bars that they lived down the street from at the time) then, Narwahls Crafted (favorite frozen drinks), then finally he popped the question at Forest Park by a waterfall.
Trent and Elise took their time and didn’t rush a wedding. Thankfully, since had they planned for a wedding in 2020 it would have been impacted due to covid.  Who would have thought though that covid would still be in the picture even a year later.  Despite having some setbacks and heartbreaks along the way, the two had the most perfect wedding day of their dreams.  Enjoy a look at Elise and Tren’t wedding day!
We see many wedding dresses, but Elise’s dress was breathtaking!  It was completely unique and totally her!We had the absolute privledge of photographing Elise’s senior photos.  We could not have been more honored that when it came time to get married she choose us again!!  We adore this girl!! (and seriously – how gorgeous is she!?!?)Elise and Trent looked most forward to this part of the day – when she walked down the aisle towards her future. Elise wore boots all growing up, so her mom insisted she wear them on her wedding day.  When Elise said no, her mom made her a deal for some champagne that she couldn’t say no to.  Champagne pay off or not, they sure are cute.If anyone wonders why I’ve gained a good 10lbs this year, I’m blaming it on the amazing dessert bars this year at weddings. Elise and Trent’s dessert bar was seriously mind blowing. We may or may not have skipped dinner and grabbed a dinner plate full of deserts. First Dance: “Lover” by Taylor Swift
Trent and his mother: “Thats What Mamas Do” by Jason Matthews
Elise and her father: Johnny Cash’s version of “You are My Sunshine”

Don’t stress over unimportant things and focus on each other the most. Dance with your wedding party as much as possible at your reception!

We did a Northeast trip (NYC, Boston, and then finally Martha’s Vineyard). It was our plan C. We had originally planned a Europe trip and then a Hawaii trip but they fell through because of COVID.
