SARAH + LARRY

Sarah and Larry were introduced by a mutual friend. They started talking and went on their first date to Twisted Tree Steakhouse followed by Robust and Olive and Oak for dessert. The server recommended a red wine named “Hall” Cabernet – Sarah’s new last name.  They both seemed to be at similar points in their lives, with similar visions for the future. The two quickly discovered that they truly enjoyed each other’s company, and were pretty much inseparable since that first date.

After dating 10 months, Larry took Sarah back to Twisted Tree Steakhouse where they had their first date for her “birthday dinner.” While Larry and Sarah were at dinner, Sarah’s family set up candles, roses, and dessert at their house. When they returned from dinner, Sarah walked through a path of candles to find a poem written by Larry asking her to marry him. Sarah said “yes” and they celebrated with family after.

The two looked at 2 wedding venues before they found the McPherson and knew immediately that it would be the best place to have their ceremony and wedding. They planned a wedding day with the vision to have a ceremony that celebrated their love for each other, followed by a reception full of happiness, laughter, and dancing. Nothing that has happened since March 2020 matters now, because as you can see – everything they envisioned became true despite any obstacles thrown their way.

Enjoy Larry and Sarah’s wedding day!

So Sarah + Larry have a special someone who was a pivotal part of this wedding day. Larry’s daughter Alice was the flower girl and she loved the whole process of picking out a dress and shoes and being with the “glam squad” in the morning to get her hair and makeup done. But one of Alice’s favorite moments was that she finally got to ride in a limo.  Her reaction to it was priceless.

After a completely sweet first look between Sarah and Larry, Larry had a first look with his daughter Alice.  He gave her a special set of pearls matching the ones he gave Sarah. You could see how special Alice felt in her expressions.  One of the sweetest moments we’ve ever witnessed.

One thing we LOVED about this day was that Sarah and Larry chose to spend the majority of time and travel for photos with just the two of them and Alice. Rather than taking their wedding party to multiple locations, they were able to relax and enjoy time for themselves.  It lead to so many great shots of both Sarah and Larry, and with Alice. We had SO much fun with Alice.  Since we weren’t in a time crunch and could relax, we were able to let her come up with some of the pose ideas.  This is one of our favorites. What girl doesn’t love a dress that can twirl like a princess? While we were photographing the bride and groom, Roger let Alice try out his camera to snap a photo.  We were so excited to find that she’s a natural as a photographer!  Check out her image below.Alice was picked up and we were then able to enjoy some time with just Sarah and Larry.  I can’t express enough how relaxed and easy things went!  Such great planning on their part to make this day stress free.“We would really like to thank our parents and also our siblings and niece and nephews who served as our bridal party. We loved having this very special bridal parry group to celebrate with all day and it just felt really special to us.”Sarah and Larry wrote their own vows and kept them as a surprise until the wedding day. “This moment definitely lived up to our expectations and we would recommend this for anyone on the fence about writing their own vows.”Always my favorite moment of the wedding day…Sarah and Larry Dance – “A Million Dreams” by Ziv Zaifman, Hugh Jackman and Michelle WilliamsSarah and Dad Dance – “The Way You Look Tonight” by Frank SinatraLarry and Mom Dance – “Because You Loved Me” by Celine DionLarry and Alice Dance – “The Git Up” by Blanco Brown“Our favorite moment of the day was seeing all of our family and friends coming together to celebrate our wedding and have fun. We loved that the dance floor was full from the moment it opened until the end of the night. Alice’s dress definitely shows how much fun she had on the dance floor that night.”

“Our wedding was the best day of our lives and it goes by as quickly as everyone says. To future brides and grooms – just soak up every moment you can and make sure you fit in some moments to be with each other amidst all the plans for the day!”
