Kelsi and Casey both work for the same company, and the two met via email while the company was undergoing a big change. A coworker for the company – Casey from Tennessee – started emailing Kelsi with questions, and she didn’t have the answers. He persisted – to the point where she became majorly annoyed. Kelsi ended up going to her boss and told her this Casey guy was not someone she wanted to deal with any longer.
In May 2014 their business had a big meeting in St.Louis. The room was full except for one seat open next to Kelsi. A guy showed up late and sat down in that seat. Kelsi soon found out the name of this guy next to her was Casey from Tennessee. She sunk in her seat a bit realizing this was the guy she had been so short and irritated with.
They made small talk on breaks, and that evening when they went with coworkers to the St.Louis Cardinals baseball game. It was obvious after spending time together that there was a connection.
Casey started driving up every weekend from Tennessee to see Kelsi, and eventually asked her on a date. It just so happened that the plans for the date were in Cato Lake Texas. Her parents had no idea Casey even existed, so they weren’t exactly at ease that their daughter was traveling to Texas with this guy they’d never met. Especially when she had no cell service the entire weekend while there. But for Kelsi and Casey – it was the best date and time of their lives and they knew this was something special.
They continued to date even through the distance, and when Casey had to move to Indiana Kelsi decided it was time to take the plunge and move with him. Since then they’ve lived in Missouri, Minnesota, Tennessee, and now call Kansas home. But it was on a trip to Gatlinburg 2 years after that face to face meeting in St.Louis that Casey proposed in their cabin in the mountains which led us to this day.
This beautiful day in Missouri wine country in the most picturesque setting. This day – just like these two – came together perfectly. We are so excited to share a peek into Kelsi and Casey’s beautiful wedding day!!
Sometimes all you need is some luck – and some really great shoes.
So I might be a bit obsessed with this photo. And I might be obsessed with the florals. Dang it Kelsi, how fabulous are you!?!? I love how you seemed nervous about how you’d do in photos and then proceeded to rock it like a supermodel. And same for you Casey. I think you two might secretly model on the side.A perfect first look…Have I mentioned the bouquets though?
The way these two look at one another. <3Does it get any better than laughs with your best friends? But yeah, the bouquets…And this girl…
And then gosh darn it, grandma. Seriously this day!! Also obsessed with the stationary. Seriously though – how beautiful is this scenery to say “I do” in front of!?! Chandler Hill Winery FTW!!!!Kelsi was extremely nervous for the ceremony – she was so concerned she would pass out or would be a mess. So after that pronouncement as husband and wife she finally relaxed and was able to take the moment in. Luckily, we were able to capture some beautiful shots of the two after she’d decompressed and enjoyed some time letting these two be comfortable and in the moment. And then we headed back indoors and there were a billion other things to obsess over!Kelsi and Casey – we are grateful to you for choosing us to capture all the moments of this spectacular day!! We absolutely loved (and are a bit obsessed) with your day and your love!!
