She was at work and saw him standing there talking to a coworker. She walked past him, hoping to get his attention and low and behold it worked. They made eye contact and smiled. That might have been the extent of their first interaction, but Casey wasn’t giving up there! She later asked around who the guy was that had been in earlier that week and another coworker mentioned that was her son Kevin. Kevin’s mom knew Casey was interested, so she teamed up with Casey’s sister to have the two of them meet. They devised a plan and Casey and Kevin were introduced, hitting it off right from the start. He asked her to have dinner with him and the rest is history.
5 years later while shopping, Kevin and Casey walked into a jewelry store. He asked her what ring she liked best and she excitedly showed him a few she liked. They walked out of the store empty handed, but Kevin had mentally made sure he remembered all the details of what happened in that jewelry store for future reference. 2 months later that information came in pretty handy. Kevin convinced Casey they would be celebrating her birthday in St.Louis for a couple days. He took her on a carriage ride and out to dinner, and while she thought he may propose at those romantic moments he never did. But the next evening, after dinner they walked to the St.Louis Arch and the riverfront and in one moment Kevin was down on one knee asking Casey to be his wife. After getting her hopes up the night before he had completely taken her by surprise, and although she can’t be certain what he said, she was certain about her answer “yes”.
Enjoy a peek at their engagement session and be sure to keep an eye out for their beautiful wedding day next September!
