She was 26. She was the last of her single friends. And after numerous pokes and prods from friends, Daniele reluctantly joined a dating website. She worried what her grandparents would think. What her parents would think. What her friends would think. And mostly – she worried that she would end up meeting a completely crazy person.
And on date number one – she did.
So horrible that she was going to get off the site completely, but she had already scheduled a date with someone else prior to the crazy date. She was going to cancel. How could she handle another bad date? But Daniele’s friend convinced her to go. She was uneasy, but she figured she’d give it one more try.
He had been a bachelor for awhile, and reluctantly joined a dating website. He too had been on one date that went relatively horrible, and was ready to give up. But Josh had a date scheduled with a blonde named Daniele, and he figured he’d give it one more shot.
They met at a Mexican restaurant. She instantly thought he was hot and text her friend immediately. Conversation easily flowed over dinner, and turned into drinks. It was in one word – effortless. Neither wanted the date to end, so when Josh offered to hang out at one of his friends house, there was no part of her that wanted to say no. Although nervous that she was going to the home of a complete stranger, there was a definite connection, so she decided to go. Josh, his friends, the whole evening just seemed to mesh perfectly. They spent the next few weeks texting one another non stop. They found that they had many similarities, and that their differences complimented the other perfectly. They both did end up getting off of that dating website, but only because they’d found their perfect match. 😉
On a trip to New Orleans 2 years later, while walking on the street a magician pulled Josh over for a magic trick and gathered everyone around to watch. The magician asked around the group of 7 or so people watching the trick if they were single. Daniele informed him she was to see how good he actually was since he had no idea she and Josh were together. During a card trick, he asked Daniele to right her name on the face of a card. He then came to Josh and asked him to write his last name on the back of a different card. At the end of the trick, the magician handed Daniele her card, and somehow Josh’s name was on the same card. The magician may have had no idea that the two were together, but he somehow knew that someday “Daniele Hader” would be her name. And soon after on a beautiful fall day in Grafton, Josh proved the magician right, and asked her to be just that.
The couple planned on a wedding date of November but had a couple things fall through. The only date the church, reception venue, and photographer 😉 had open was September 26th, 2015 so they settled on that. On New Years Even when looking back through some old pictures they came across images of that New Orleans trip. When they saw the images from the day with the magician, they noticed the date and were speechless – it just so happened that he made that card appear with the name ‘Daniele Hader’ on September 26th. Now THAT is magic!!!
