Clare & Kyle’s wedding was one we’d looked forward to all year. We photographed Clare’s sister’s wedding in 2010, and we hoped and prayed that when Emilie’s sister’s got engaged that they would call. And thank goodness Clare did! The Schilling Family and their friends and family are amazing, and it’s no wonder that Clare found this amazing man Kyle (aka Row) to be the person she spend forever with. Both are charming, laid back, and the type of people you are instantly drawn to. The fact that they were drawn to one another is logical, but what the two of them are together is magical. They are so unmistakably best friends that it’s hard to imagine one without the other. They are truly two halves that make a whole.

It would be impossible to describe Jillian and Kyle’s wedding in a matter of a few words. Pulling up to the Schaefer Family farms, you could feel how big of a day it was going to be. But there was no way we’d know that driving home that night, and even the next morning – we’d be recounting all the amazingness that the day brought. It’s a whirlwind for the bride and groom always, but on this day, it was a whirlwind for us too! So many things to look at, be in awe of, take in. Beautiful weather, beautiful scenery, beautiful people… One thing for certain, this day was 100% authentically Jill & Kyle. Charming and Fabulous. Prepare yourself… this is one you won’t soon forget!
It’s like stepping into Cracker Barrell really. Your greeted with a down home welcome, invited to kick back in a rocker, George Straight billowing through the speakers, cowboy boots, mason jars, tractors and comfort. We knew Ashley & Brent’s day would be one of our favorites of 2011. A little peeved we weren’t selected to photograph Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert’s wedding, we knew Ashley & Brent’s wedding day was going to be the next best thing. Beautiful, down home beauty. And LOTS and LOTS of love. Enjoy Brent & Ashley’s wedding day!
When Stephanie first contacted us about her wedding we were booked. When she contacted us the second time with a question – that couple had called off their wedding. And voilà – fate. Upon first meeting she and Todd at a Bread Co. one afternoon, you could totally tell why they made such a great match. The first thing Stephanie did was give me a hug, and Todd’s warm, sweet smile lights up a room. And when the two combine… magic. He’s a little bit country, and she’s a little bit rock and roll and the two blend perfectly for them. Enjoy Stephanie and Todd’s wedding day!
That’s a Poltergeist refrence in honor of Halloween. Hopefully you all aren’t too old for one of the creepiest movies known to man. Tyra Banks says it too – which let’s face it – she can be scary as well. The point? A little lesson in photography for those of you out there who wonder why in the world Roger and I are constantly speaking about “the light”. You see, for photographers, it is ALL ABOUT THE LIGHT. Good light, bad light, ultimate light, harsh light, not enough light… theres about a ZILLION different lights.
