Sometimes others write something way better than I could. This post shows the same examples we could in regards to why you should have an unplugged wedding, but wrote the reasoning so much better!! Rachel & Sam were married on a gorgeous – albeit steamy – Sunday during Labor Day weekend. Living in Chicago, we didn’t have many opportunities to meet the couple in person or get to know them throughout their engagement. However, we got to know them AND their family and friends on one of the most important days of their lives and that is a privilege that most don’t have the opportunity to do!!! Rachel is shy and a bit quiet, but absolutely gorgeous and Sam is more outgoing and the one who takes care of the details yet when it comes to Rachel he’s more soft and listens to every single word she says. Their dynamic is sweet and so respectful, and we were so thrilled to get to capture that and their love this very special day! Enjoy Rachel & Sam’s wedding!!
When Lacy first contacted about their wedding we responded that we were unfortunately booked and wouldn’t be able to capture their day. That’s never a fun email to send, and I imagine it’s not a fantastic one to receive either. As fate would have it – Lacy would try contacting again a couple months later. She hadn’t found the right photographer and we – as a twist of fate – had a couple move their date to 2014 so the day had become available. It’s amazing how there are times where fate walks right up and takes control of the situation. Just like it did that day when Lacy met Blake while in high school. But fate can only take you so far, and you have to take the rest into your own hands. These two made it through the test of time, and on a unusually mild day in August 2013, they were married surrounded by their family and friends. Enjoy Lacy and Blake’s wedding day!!
There were traffic jams, trains stopped, roads closed, obstacle after obstacle on the day of Dana & Brian’s wedding. Things were a little tense, but as each found out the other was at the church and all was fine, the stress simply melted off and the laughter and fun began. It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining, and today was the day they would marry the love of their life. What else would they need?
Enjoy Dad & Brian’s wedding day!!
Brianne and Jon couldn’t have known when they chose a wedding day in July that the weather would be perfect. They couldn’t have known that the sun would be shining, that laughter would fill the air, that guests would compliment their reception details, that the day would go off without a hitch. They couldn’t have known that their wedding day would be flawless. The only thing they knew was that no matter if the weather wasn’t perfect, if it rained, if no one noticed the details and laughter never filled the air – that they were getting married and that’s all that mattered. Their love is strong, sweet, and deep so nothing matters except love. But the extras certainly made for a stunning day!! Enjoy Brianne and Jon’s wedding!!
