She couldn’t have known she’d meet the boy she would marry one day when she embarked on the bus her freshman year of high school. He’ll say he felt something immediately when seeing her for the first time. She’ll say she was clueless. He’ll explain how he pursued her throughout the rest of his high school days – asking her to homecomings, dates, and proms. She’ll say she wanted to remain friends and turned him down every single time. But after several years passed and she was having a hard time while in college, he was the first person she wanted to call.

She’d recently gotten out of a relationship, and one day while on Facebook came across his profile and went ahead and peeked around at his pictures. “He’s cute!” she thought. They’d never even crossed paths that they knew of, but she decided to change that one day when Brandon wrote a status about having a bad day. “Well, at least the sun is out and it’s nice outside… hope your day gets better” she posted.
She was ready to transfer schools. She’d all but made up her mind, and started looking over Christmas break. She decided to give it one final semester before she decided and with that she headed back. The first person she met when she came back from break was Tyler. There was a instant spark. An immediate connection. And after getting to know him a little better, she never thought about transferring again. In fact, she stopped coming home for the summers and so did he. Their hometowns were 10 hours away from one another, and they could barely handle spending a single day away from the other. It’s funny how finding THE person changes everything, and when both found that in one another – they were never going to let it go.
Amy’s best guy friend Caleb just happens to be Todd’s brother in law. That may seem like a random fact, but that just happens to be the one component of the story that made it all happen. Caleb insisted Amy & Todd would make a great couple, so trusting his judgement, Amy met he and Todd out one night. She flirted and he charmed her right back, even going so far as to pay the DJ 20 bucks to play her favorite dance song at the time – Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face”. When the night ended she figured she would never see Todd again. But thanks to social networking, he messaged her (he has the opposite story) and they got to know one another. When Todd came into her life in 2009, she was not looking for a relationship, but they both knew there was something special they couldn’t pass up.
They were kids in the same 4H group. He was quiet and mischievous, and she didn’t like that. They grew up going to different schools, but never hung out. Then they went to the same college together, in the same Ag. department, but still never hung out. Until that one night. Her friend Janna called her and told her to come out and have drinks. At first she declined, but she finally decided to let loose and join in the fun. Janna nonchalantly mentioned her cousin Kevin would be there. It wasn’t an incentive really, since she didn’t know him, but come to find out the evening was set up and Janna’s intention was to fix the two of them up. After a fun evening of flirting and talking, they exchanged numbers and haven’t gone a day without talking since.
